Geography

About 49 percents of the provice's area are high mountains which are situated from the north through the south. High mountains of the province are importance, they are the source of various important rivers including Tapee, Pum Duang, Tha Thong, Tha Krajai, Chaiya, and Tha Chang which flow to Gulf of Thailand on the east.

Boundary

On the north and east sides of the province border Chumphon Province and Gulf of Thailand with the long coastline about 156 kilometers.

On the south side of the province borders Nakhon Si Thammarat and Krabi Provinces.

On the west side of the province borders Phang-Nga and Ranong Province.
