How to get there (from Bangkok)

By Car

From Bangkok you can take Highway No.4 to Chumphon Province and then take Highway No. 41 to Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phatthalung Province, and drive to Rattaphum district of Songkhla Province then turn back to Highway No.4 and turn right to Highway No.406 to Satun Province; the total distance is 937 kilometers. By Bus

There are 3 types buses include VIP Bus, Standard 1 Bus and Standard 2 Bus depart from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal on Borommaratcha Chonnani Road direct to Satun several times everyday. The trip take about 13 hours. You can check from www.transport.co.th

By Train

There is no direct train to Satun. The nearest railway station is at Hat Yai district of Songkhla Province. The train to Hat Yai leaves from Bangkok Hua Lamphong Railway Station at 12.25 p.m., 2.20 p.m.,2.45 p.m. and 3.50 p.m. to Hat Yai. The trip takes about 14-15 hours. From Hat Yai there are van, public bus and taxi from Hat Yai to Satun. Taxi is available at the Ratthakan Post Office, van and public bus can be found beside Dr. Somphots Clinic near Hat Yai train station. The van leaves every hour form 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Public bus leaves from Hat Yai bus station every 2 hours from 6.30 a.m. to 4.35 p.m. For more information can check from www.railway.co.th

By Plane

There is no airport at Satun but it's possible visitors can fly to Hat Yai then take van, public bus and taxi (Same as the detail by train) from Hat Yai to Satun the total distance from Hat Yai to Satun is 97 kilometers. Online Booking Airline Ticket
