Geography & Boundary of Satun

 

Geography

Satun covers an area approximately 2,478 square kms. Most geography of the province are plains and mountains. On the north, south and east of province are low hill and high mountains which Ban That and Sankrara Kriri mountain range are the important natural borders between Satun and other provinces. On the west of the province, the geography is plain with the long coastline which is the natural border between Andman Sea and many islands which belong to the province.

Boundary

On the north side of province borders Palian District of Trang Province, Rattaphum District of Songkhla Province and Pa Bon District of Phatthalung Province

On the east side of province borders Sadao District of Songkhla Province and Perlis State of Malaysia.

On the south side of the province borders Perlis and Kdah State of Malaysia.

On the west side of province is Andaman Sea of Indian Ocean.
