Phuket province is well-known as the pearl of Andaman. Phuket Province is the only one province in Thailand which is islands (1 large island and other small islands). All islands cover an area approximately 570 square km. (only large island is 543). The province is located about 867 kilometers by land or 688 kilometers by air south away from Bangkok.
