Phetchaburi Province

 

General information

Phetchaburi Province or well-known as Muang Phetch is one of old city in Central region of Thailand where is located on the northernmost of Malay Peninsula or about 160 kilometer South away from Bangkok.

Phetchaburi has a long history since Dvaravati Period. After Dvaravati Period or During Sukhothai and Ayutthaya Kingdoms, Phetchaburi was an important fortified town. In present the province is one of popular destination in Thailand with several famous resort beaches, large natural national parks, ancient remains, caves and local people culture & tradition.

Phetchaburi Province is worthy of remembrance to visit. Province located variety types for travel include historical places, natural resoure places and famous beaches.

Peaceful lake, magnificent waterfall, cahrming cave and cliff are situated in area of Kaeng Krachan National Park where is the largest national park in Thailand. The national park covers area of 3 districts of Phetchaburi Province and Hua Hin District of Prachuap Kriri Khan.

Several beaches is most attraction of province with white sandy beaches where surrounded by greeny trees, Thai style resorts and crystal clear sea. The Province located interesting ancient palaces with the perfect architecture like Maruekhathaiyawan Palace, the wooden seaside palace.

In addition, Famous restaurants of province have variety of local and fresh seafood are popular for it's tasty. Several gift made after a journey are popular for most visitors to call at several famous shops before back after end of the trip.
